Social and environmental commitment at Soleno
Cultivating health
Donations raised for the cause: $ 45,000
Produce 960 km of pink agricultural drains: a creative awareness campaign unique in Quebec for the benefit of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.
The campaign was held mainly in October 2018, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This initiative represents an investment in time and development, but we know that each pink drain sold will be the result of a work and a collective commitment to fight against the disease.

Social commitment
Soleno is involved with several foundations by providing collection boxes to raise donations:
- Health Fondation that supports the Haut-Richelieu Hospital
- Honoré-Mercier Foundation
- BNY Health Foundation
- Saint-Vincent-de-Paul organization, for the Media Guignolée campaign
- Foundation of the SSS of Energy, for their Youth Fund
The collection boxes provided by Soleno has raised:
- $10,000 for the Honoré-Mercier Foundation
- $16,500 for the Health Foundation
Parrainage Civique du Haut-Richelieu
Social commitment
Soleno is actively involved with Parrainage civique du Haut-Richelieu, a non-profit organization:
- Our president was the keynote speaker for its benefit lunch.
- Over 250 Solenours were given away (Soleno’s plush bear)
L’Étoile, pédiatrie sociale
Soleno is actively involved in L’Étoile, pédiatrie sociale an organization which provides services to more than 200 children aged 0 to 14 at risk or in vulnerable situations to ensure their well-being and promote their optimal development.
- Our president was involved as the Foundation’s Honorary President
- 200 Solenours plush bears were given to the Foundation
Soleno Sustainable Challenge - Sitting and Standing
For the past two years, Soleno organizes the Soleno Sustainable Challenge – Sitting and Standing, a team tennis tournament that brings together a wheelchair player and a valid “standing” player.
The goal of this tournament is to:
- Promote the work of people with disabilities as examples of courage and determination, both professionally and athletically.
- Demonstrate to Quebec businesses that life with a disability can be a source of inspiration.
Walk for Alzheimer’s
$500 donation to Investors Group’s Walk for Alzheimer’s
Soleno is involved in the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s, one of the largest fundraising event dedicated to Alzheimer’s and other cognitive diseases in Canada.
Lakeland Industries
Soleno supports the reconstruction, through donations, of the Lakeland Industries Sheltered Workhops in McAdam, New Brunswick, ravaged by fire in November 2017.
Environmental commitment
ALUS Montérégie program
Soleno is a partner with UPA Montérégie in the ALUS Montérégie program, which aims to help and support farmers in improving the water and air quality and encouraging biodiversity.
Environmental commitment
Forêt Montmorency Project
Soleno has committed to support the Forêt Montmorency (Laval University) for the next 10 years.
This support promotes the advancement of forestry research by providing an environment that is conducive to discoveries by its seasoned researchers, professors and passionate students.
ECORESPONSIBLE Certification
Soleno was awarded the level 1. Engagement ECORESPONSABLE Certification by the of Sustainable Industries Council (CSI).
In 2018, Soleno was awarded the EcoDesigned Product Attestation by the CSI for certain product lines.
In 2019, Soleno obtained the ECORESPONSIBLE certification – level 2. Performance – for its plant located at 1160, route 133, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
