Design Tool

Create your storm water retention system in storage chambers in just a few clicks! Our online tool, consisting of three modules, will guide you with recommendations towards an optimized design and will allow you to obtain a complete layout of your project!

How it works: A quick design in one, two or three modules!

You wish to achieve a basic design?

In a few minutes, the basic design module allows you to obtain a design according to Soleno’s recommendations, which takes into account pre-established criteria and certain project-specific information.

Our recommendations will guide you towards an optimized design and allow you to obtain a complete layout of your project with only a few information in hand:

  • The available space (lenght, width and depth)
  • The required retention volume

Once the module is completed, you will receive by email:

  • A summary of your design
  • A DWG of your design

You wish to change certain basic criteria?

It is possible to do this by taking a few more minutes!

The detailed design module is optional and allows you to customize your basic design, created in the previous module, by modifying certain basic criteria.

Our recommendations will guide you towards an optimized design, according to your new criteria, and will allow you to obtain a complete layout of your project.

Once the module is completed, you will receive by email:

  • A summary of your design
  • A DWG of your design

You don’t know your retention volume? Let us help you!

The retention volume estimation module* is optional and allows you to estimate the retention volume required for the surface to be developed.

This module has been meticulously created in collaboration with a recognized partner J.F.Sabourin and associate inc. (JSFA), an engineering consulting firm offering services in the fields of water resources, municipal engineering and the environment.

*This module is based on the MELCC Calculation and Design Manual for Municipal Stormwater Management Facilities – 2017 (MCCOMGEP).

HydroStor Retention System

Made of polypropylene (PP),  HydroStor retention chambers are easy to install, thanks to their lightweight, and represent considerable savings in terms of time, labor and heavy equipment. Their use make it possible to absorb heavy rainfall while avoiding sudden floods.

2 models available:

  • HS75: Designed for projects with limited burial depth, the installed HS75 chamber stores 1 m3 of rainwater per linear meter or 2.12 m3 per chamber.*
  • HS180: Designed for high volume projects or when space is limited,  the installed HS180 chamber stores  2.4 m3 of rainwater per linear meter or 5.1 m3 per chamber.*

The 2 retention chambers meet the CSA B184.2, ASTM F2418 and ASTM F2787 standards and withstand CL-625, H-25 and HS-25 loads.

*Installed storage capacity.

StormChamber Retention System

Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), StormChamber retention chambers offer the best ratio of cost-cubic meter (cubic foot) of stored water and are the only ones on the market that allow installation on multiple levels. The backfill depth can be up to 4.88 m (16 ft), about twice as much as injected polypropylene chambers allow. HDPE’s resistance to northern climate temperature changes is far superior to that of polypropylene.

3 models available:

  • SC-18: Designed for projects with limited burial depth, the installed SC-18 chamber stores 0.46 m3 of rainwater per linear meter or 1.07 mper chamber.*
  • SC-34E: Designed for multi-level projects due to very limited space, the installed SC-34E chamber stores 1.29 m3 of rainwater per linear meter or 2.98 m3 per chamber.*
  • SC-44: Designed for high volume projects or when space is limited, the installed SC-44 chamber stores 2.15 m3 of rainwater per linear meter or 4.10 m3 per chamber.*

The 3 retention chambers meet the ASTM F2922 and ASTM F2787 standards and withstand CL-625, H-25 and HS-25 loads.

*Installed storage capacity.

Unité_prétraitement

Pretreatment Unit

Made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and installed upstream of a system, the pretreatment unit has excellent resistance to de-icing salts, abrasives, chemical agents and vibration. It is designed to be perfectly adapted to all types of pipes while maintaining network watertightness and it is lighter than traditional systems that favour on-site installation.

  • Simple monolithic system without interior moving parts.
  • Prevents the dispersion of hydrocarbons and floating debris.
  • Economical solution for the upstream treatment of certain types of pollutants and for removing sand particles.
  • This system eliminates work in confined spaces.
  • Withstands CL-625, H-25 and HS-25 loads.
