Our Differences
Sustainable Development
Soleno is a major consumer of HDPE. Where manufacturing standards allow, a significant part of the raw materials we use for our products comes from post-consumer recycled content. These materials, come largely from the products placed in recycling bins each week. This important gesture on our part considerably reduces the amount of waste going to landfills and extracts more value from HDPE.
Some of the solutions available from Soleno are eligible for the obtainment of credits leading to certification. Whether for Sustainable Sites (SS), Water Efficiency (WE) or credits related to Materials and Resources (MR) under the LEED program, or for other certification options, contact the Soleno team to find out how our solutions can positively contribute to obtain certification for your project.
Together, we have chosen to manage our resources in a responsible manner, to contribute to the development of future generations. We work hard every day to ensure that our resources — human, financial and physical — are managed soundly.
Sustainable development is based on a long-term approach which takes into account the inextricable nature of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of development activities.
Soleno, Soleno Service, Soleno Textile and our Soleno Waste Plastic Recovery Plant are all led by a visionary team, working in synergy in order to develop innovative solutions. By forming a collaborative group of companies, we develop technical approaches and effective solutions, while reducing environmental impacts.
It is with great pride that we announce Soleno as the first to achieve CSA B182.8-R certification, audited by CSA in Canada. It formally recognizes our ability to create our resin composition for manufacturing our pipes from recycled material. Thanks to the CSA B182.8-R certification, all our CSA-certified products incorporate more than 75% and up to 100% recycled material, while meticulously adhering to finished product performance standards.
Our factories in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and McAdam are involved in producing pipes certified to CSA B182.8-R standard, ensuring quality and durability
