Treatment Catch Basin
Treatment and Settling Catch Basin for Stormwater. An HDPE catch basin designed to collect stormwater runoff, settle sediments and retain floating debris before they spread through the storm sewer network.
The Soleno treatment catch basin is designed to collect surface runoff while helping control sediments, debris and floating pollutants before they enter the storm sewer network. Installed at the source, it combines stormwater collection, sediment settling and floating debris retention in a compact HDPE structure.
This solution can replace a standard catch basin when a project requires a stormwater pretreatment function directly at the collection point. Lightweight, durable and resistant to demanding underground conditions, the treatment catch basin is well suited for municipal, commercial, institutional and urban drainage projects where runoff quality is a concern.
Operation:
- Step 1: during rainfall events, surface runoff carries sediments and floating debris. Collection systems direct water to the storm water sewer system.
- Step 2: a portion of the suspended sediments is deposited at the bottom of the catch basin.
- Step 3: because of its permanently submerged water intake, the treatment catch basin ensures retention and accumulation of floating pollutants.
- Step 4: the treatment catch basin acts directly at the source to prevent pollutants dispersing through the whole storm water sewer network.
